Tonight I want to shamelessly brag about my daughter, Georgia. 367 days ago she smoked her last cigarette, and I couldn’t be any more proud. Was it easy for her? No, it was the pits! But she made a decision to improve her life and the lives of those around her and stuck with it.
When she told me it had been a year, I wanted to jump up and down and scream from the rooftops (only I’m afraid of heights). I didn’t do it then, but I’m doing it now from this “virtual rooftop”. Georgia DeMurl, your mother is proud of you. So is your granddad, your brother, your aunts and uncles…it is a long, proud list!
