Over the past couple of weeks Georgia and I have each thought about getting St. Patrick’s Day clothes for the girls. WalMart had cute ones for boys, but absolutely nothing appealing to girls. Tonight when laying out their clothes for tomorrow, we realized that we had done nothing more than think about clothes for them. Exit Grammy, cruising to Target to see what they had in store. If possible, their selection was worse than WalMart’s; we could choose between a bright, leafy green or the palest mint-tinted fabrics — none of which created that freshly mown grass effect for which I was searching. So we will chalk up a giant “fail” on the chalkboard of life, and the girls will have to be content with “so-so” shirts for St. Patrick’s Day.

Georgia did decorate the corner of the entryway and the mantle with all things Irish a couple of weeks ago. I wish the girls could break off a chunk of it to take to school tomorrow.

I hope your happy moments tomorrow will include leprechauns. Sweet dreams.
