I missed our city’s Cinco de Mayo celebration this year…it was on May 2, and I was off scrapbooking in Sacramento, so as I saw a flyer on a bulletin board downtown yesterday morning I was mildly disappointed. But today truly is Cinco de Mayo, and better yet, it is my “little” brother’s birthday. And to make things even more glorious, I will get to spend the evening with him. I’m hoping a visit to the Casino will be in order, but even if it isn’t, I will be a happy girl just being with him and Daddy.
Now if only Melody could be with us, it would be perfect!

Happy Cinco de Mayo, Fawn — and happy birthday to your brother! Have a fun time as you celebrate this double occasion, 🙂

Donnie had to work, but I brought home Chocolate Eclairs from The Eclair Bakery for each of us (and we bought dinner from McDonald’s so he wouldn’t have to cook). I was wonderful spending time together. – Fawn

Even though I’m not there with you, it was good to talk to you and Donnie tonight.

When I took the phone from him, I said, “I just need to ask Melody one question.” As I walked back into the living room, he growled, “That must have been quite a question!” And after all that conversation, I realized as I was driving past the Motel that I had left the clock case at Daddy’s. Yep, I turned around and went back for it. I wish you were going to be with me this weekend in Fresno. – Fawn
